What Fertility Tests Are Offered?
Male & Female Blood Tests
A comprehensive panel of male and female blood tests will be conducted including AMH, FSH, TSH and a full STI panel. In women, these tests are used to understand the patient’s ovarian reserve and if she ovulates.
Pelvic Ultrasound
The pelvic ultrasound is used to look at your ovaries, endometrial lining, and uterus. A complimentary ultrasound is included at Dr. Mor’s office in Manhattan.

Semen Analysis
Semen analysis is an optional test used to test for male-factor infertility, including sperm count and motility.

HSG
A hysterosalpingography an X-ray test to outline the internal shape of the uterus and show whether the fallopian tubes are blocked.

Unlike at home tests that are for informational purposes only, IVF Options sends lab technicians to your home to conduct tests.
We have partnered with Fertility Specialist Dr. Amir Mor, MD, PhD who completed his fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at Yale University. All tests are ordered by Dr. Mor and all consultations are held by Dr. Mor virtually or in person to provide patients with diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Lab Technicians from Bioreference will come to your home to conduct comprehensive male and female blood tests. For optional tests, Dr. Mor will provide a generic referral that can be used to get tested prior to your consultation. See our FAQ for more info.

A lab technician will contact you to schedule your at home testing appointment. Tests are conducted within 1 week of placing order.

We’ll contact you to schedule your consultation with Dr Mor. Consults are scheduled 2 weeks after placing order.

FAQ
Do I need health insurance?
Yes. In order to qualify for the $399 price for fertility testing and specialist consultation, you must have valid US health insurance. Medicaid or Medicare can be used.
Can I get free fertility testing?
If you are a member of Cigna or GHI Emblem Health you may qualify for free fertility testing and specialist consultation. Only pay your co-pay. To find out what your co-pay is, contact your insurance provider.
How do I pay for the fertility testing package?
Order your fertility testing package online by inputting your credit card information. Alternatively, one of our fertility specialists can help you place your order by calling (917) 905-4690.
When will I get tested?
Once your test is ordered, we will submit the request to our testing partner Lab Bioreference. They will contact you within 2 business days to organize a time to come to your home or work to conduct tests. Generally test results are ready within 1 week.
When will my fertility specialist consultation be?
Generally we will schedule your virtual specialist consultation with Dr Mor 2 weeks from the time you order your test, to ensure test results are back in time.
What tests does it include?
It includes complete male and female blood tests, conducted by Bioreference Laboratories at your home. It also includes an ultrasound, conducted by Dr Mor at his office in Manhattan for patients willing to attend the consultation in person.
Dr Mor will also provide generic referrals for semen analysis, ultrasound and HSG that you can choose to have done prior to your consultation at any center in The US.
How will I attend the consultation?
Dr. Mor will provide you with a zoom link to attend your virtual consultation before your consultation.
For patients who wish to attend the consultation in person, the address is 245 5th Ave Suite 308, New York, NY 10016.
What if I need IUI or IVF?
Dr. Mor will provide you with a verbal and written treatment recommendation after reviewing your test results. If you are recommended to get IUI or IVF, a Fertility Advisor will assist you at finding a local fertility clinic that meets your needs and budget. In most cases, we can get you a free consultation once you have undergone testing.
If you are able to travel to New York, Dr Mor is able to provide IVF and IUI treatments at his clinic in Manhattan.
Why should I do a virtual consultation instead of going in to a local fertility clinic?
Most of the time it takes a few weeks just to get an appointment with a fertility specialist, without having any testing done. Once you have that consult, you then get tested and have to wait to get those labs back. On average, that process costs $1,250 without insurance.
We are offering a fast, easy process to get tested and to understand your treatment options before going into a fertility clinic. Another benefit is that you get to understand all of your treatment options with a specialist, before jumping into any expensive treatments.
How much do the optional tests cost?
- Ultrasound is included if you attend the consultation in person at Dr Mor’s office in Manhattan. Otherwise, this is generally covered by insurance. Out of pocket costs without insurance generally are under $300. This can be done at any OB/GYN or radiology center in The US.
- Semen analysis costs an average of $125 and can be done at Repro Lab in New York, or Labcorp across The US. This is not included in our package cost.
- HSG is generally covered by insurance. For patients without coverage, it generally costs less than $450. This can be done at any radiology center in The US.
If I have optional tests, how do I submit the results?
If you have optional tests done at external centers including ultrasound, semen analysis or HSG, you must personally obtain a copy of the results. This is normally sent via email. You will then upload a copy of that to the onpatient portal in the messages section, prior to your consultation.
What if I already have tests done?
If you have valid fertility tests, conducted in The US from within the last 12 months, you can proceed direct to a virtual or in-person consultation. The cost of the consultation is $250.
